The Vayu Tattva is one of the four classical elements in Hinduism. As one of the five primordial elements, it symbolizes the power of movement and expansion. ‘Vayu’ means ‘to rise up’. Vayu has a subtle presence in everything we do and it is associated with our intellect, mind, breath, soulfulness, peace, wisdom, compassion and our higher self. It is considered to be the element that embodies creativity and innovation, and can be a helpful catylist for Creative Work.

Mentally, it facilitates clarity of Mind, resaon, Wisdom, intelligence, creativity, Understanding, Enlightenment and Illumination, Insight and Intuition. It provides expansive Vision. A few attributes that are attributed to Vayu are communication, information, enlightenment and knowledge, helpful to gain an understanding and wisdom for life .

In the Astral, Vayu tattva represents courage and tenacity, perserverance. Vayu is the most important of the five elements and represents life's purpose (cf. relation to Sol (the Sun), a ball of burning Atmosphere). It gives the Siddhis of clairvoyance, clairaudience, telepathic communication, and Levitation.

He is considered to be the God of Air, Wind, and Storms. He also possesses a number of secondary powers such as making people fly, turning them into birds, and controlling their emotions. Air element beings are not just mythical creatures but offer a loyal connection to bird magic, butterflies, dragonflies and other denizens of the Air. They have played a significant role in the history of humankind. The elemental air beings have been depicted in many cultures and religions around the world.

Physically, mastery of the Air tattva can get one a tough and tenacious body with excellent stamina and endurance. Air tattva makes very durable bodies.
